StartVR is a VR Video playing app for local file playback, or for browsing websites that utilize the power of the StartVR API.

You can install it from the Meta Quest App Store. Click This Link to visit our page and install it with the button.

You can also search for “StartVR” on the Meta Horizons App and install it that way.

StartVR allows for VR180 and 360 videos to be displayed. Available codecs include h264 and hevc/h265, at up to 8K resolution. If you come across a file that won’t work, let us know so we can improve StartVR. The player menu allows you adjust the settings for 180 or 360, 3D or flat, side-by-side or over-under, or you can follow the naming convention for your local files and let StartVR automatically pick the right style and projection for your videos.

The list of sites that utilize our API is expanding. Try visiting your favourite websites using our app, and if the site isn’t available, help us get our name out there by requesting that the site takes advantage of our API.
